Classroom Use of Program
As a life science teacher the modules I used the most from the Go North Curricula were the modules dealing with the Flora and Fauna of the Arctic. I also used components from the ANWR program looking at sustainable development. When I moved to Geoscience, one of the first lessons I used was the Google Earth sense of place activity. I also plan on using lessons dealing with global climate change. The ability to go online with a computer in the classroom helps facilitate using the online portions of the program. I will have this capability this year so I plan on having students follow the expedition online, more than we have been able to in the past.
