Saami is named after the name of native people in Lapland, an area in the northernmost part of Sweden, Norway, Finland and western Russia. They are a nomadic people living on the tundra with their reindeer, traveling on foot from one region to another to find food for the animals.

Big and slow when he was a pup, Saami is now a small, fast running machine. He is very affectionate and always FULL of energy.

Saami is a very alert dog, always looking for some fun, but also a serious worker. He is slowly working his way up the line to become a solid point dog with lots of spirit.
