"A 25-30 feet wide span of water separated us from land. We were back on the banks of the bay in Provideniya where we set off a little less than a month ago. As we arrived back in Provideniya some 360 miles of dogsledding later, rocks and dirt where the dogs had been staked out in deep snow, swans flying in formation above and scorching temperatures in the mid-forties..."

Congratulations!! to Team GoNorth! on a successful Arctic adventure learning expedition. Arriving back in Provideniya on May 10, GoNorth! Chukotka 2007 comes to an end for our team of five men, one woman and 22 Polar Huskies. "It will be etched in my memory forever" says Teacher Explorer Jeff Sipper. The entire team extends the deepest gratitude to the people of Chukotka and, 'thank you' to all of YOU for your particiption in the program.
While the Polar Huskies make their way back to Expedition Basecamp for the summer this week, there is still some time for exploration. Enjoy the last report from the trail this week and don't forget - check back later this week for the winners of the Zones contest to be announced...
